The Tighter, the Better…

I am sure many of you may have heard of radiofrequency skin tightening and have wondered what it is. When it first came out, it was touted as the “non-surgical facelift”.  It is in fact a non-surgical procedure for tightening collagen in the skin and can lead to fabulous results. Radiofrequency skin tightening is completely non-invasive: no surgery, no injections, no pain! It is performed with radiofrequency heat that is delivered deep into the layer of the skin where the collagen is. A short series of treatments tightens your existing collagen and stimulates new collagen growth. The skin is smoother, firmer, and tighter immediately after the procedure with further improvement over the next 2 to 6 months as new collagen is produced.  The results are easy and natural.

There are many devices that use radiofrequency. The one I use in my practice is the EndyMed®, which originated in Israel. I have found it to be the most comfortable for any body part and the most effective of any on the market.

The procedure can be done on any part of the body with excellent results and also treats cellulite. Jowls can disappear, eyes widen and brighten with lifting, knees and arms smooth. and tummies tighten. Results can last 2 to 3 years depending on your skin. For the chest, knees, and arms, this is virtually the only option. For the neck, it gives great results and can be combined with fat reduction without surgery. The procedure is clinically proven, safe, and it is the only procedure I do that truly has no downtime.  Many of my patients fit in their treatment between tennis and lunch.

There are a few important items to consider when you are looking into skin tightening. The first is to gather information. Most importantly, be sure to have a comprehensive consultation with a physician prior to treatment to adequately address your concerns and compatibility with the procedure.
